Blueberry’s Dance Party is an original, all-Tasmanian live children’s dance show featuring Blueberry Bear, Ranger Mac, Bumblebee Bear, dancing penguins and ballerinas. The production is a fun, high-energy interactive show aimed at young children up to age 7, the audience will be actively encouraged to join in.
Blueberry Bear is invited to a dance party but doesn’t want to go as he doesn’t know how to dance. Blueberry’s friends Ranger Mac and Bumblebee Bear introduce Blueberry to a ballerina, dancing penguins, hip hop, jazz and some other styles of dance. Blueberry tries them all with the help of his friends on stage and in the audience, finishing with a big party and a more confident bear that loves dancing. The production uses mascots for the bears and penguins.
The audience will be encouraged to get active, clap and dance along with the bears and cast members. A mixture of popular dance classics and child-friendly action songs are used. There will be a chance to rest and have a little quiet time in the show about halfway through with a vocalist.
